Great driving school! I started as a very nervous driver and they got me through my test on the first try! (I had lessons with Ingo and Dietmar) They helped me get through all the lessons and test in a short time frame and were always very friendly, helpful and accomodating. I would definitely recommend!

The school is great! I took lessons with Clarissa. She speaks English and explains all Germany driving features. I passed my practice exam on the first try.

Very good driving school with friendly and experienced staff. My driving teacher Peter was very experienced and patient, and Barbara and Nine working at the office are very friendly and professional. I passed my exam from the first time! I would definitely recommend this driving school.

Truthfully, there is nothing that makes much sense about getting your license (again) in Germany. But if you somehow ended up here, you're going to have to eventually do it. You can do a lot worse than AS - if you're in this particular boat. Jenny is gentle with the lost and forlorn and will help you navigate the German bureaucracy without making you tear your hair out, too much. All the instructors seem very nice, and take turns teaching the theory classes which actually have a tidbit here and there no matter your driving experience given that the chasm of rules in Germany and the rest of the world is, well...enormous. Don't even get me started. I did all my mid-life-crisis motorcycle training with Ingo who is, basically, a dude. He loves motorcycles in an endearing way, and somehow talked me into buying into motorcycle culture after my initial plan to drive a faster scooter. He's patient, and knows the system. I've been driving a while so we didn't have deep conversations about driving beyond the aforementioned differences between Germany and everything else...but he's a good steady hand to teach you and will get you through the exam - despite all forces of the Dark Side that continually rally against you at Dekra. One little tip, if you're going to do the system as a foreigner and you're transferring your license and adding the A...don't mess around. Plan a month ahead of time, book all your hours with Ingo as close as possible (he's very much in demand) and do your theory as soon as possible so you can book your exam (one can't happen without the other). I went with the flow and it dragged out over several months as there are many steps that have to be accomplished in order. Sit down with Jenny and craft a battle plan, first. Don't half-ass it like me. I'm only writing a long review because it's been 25 years since I have been in a driving school - but this felt like a good one if I had to do it again. And writing it in English because after going through the German licensing process I'm not speaking German for the next two years in protest, AND, I thought it would help foreigners to have a bit of an English commentary on the experience from our expatriate perspective.

I am Chenhui from China. I learned to drive with Tommy in AS-Fahrschule Charlottenburg. I just passed my exam and I am vary happy about it. Tommy is a very nice peson and a very experienced driving teacher. I learned a lot from him. I think we had a wonderful time together. I will recommend my wife to learn driving with him. I also highly recommend others to choose AS-Fahrschule for learning driving, especially with Tommy.
