HIGHLY RECOMMENDED : When I came to Berlin, I searched for getting driving licence in English, this Fahrschule website came at top in google. The website of a Fahrschule has explained each and every step in detail. Follow them blindly. In case of any query you can go there during working hours and Mr. Winter will help you in perfect English. After getting my first approval from Bürgeramt which states I can give theory exam, I went to school for the first time and they provided me application and website to prepare for exam. That was really helpful for me as that app shows on its dashboard how much you’re ready for exam. Generally after getting 60-70% ready, you can give theory exam. I passed theory exam in first attempt. Till now most of the part was waiting from Bürgeramt to give me the letter. But now comes the hard part. Practical Exam. For practical lesson, I called Mr. Elsner and he told me to meet me in next 2 days for the first session. During the first session after observing mine driving skills, he told me approximately how much practise is required to clear the practical exam. He was really polite in explaining my each and every mistake. Due to certain habits of mine, I used to make long right turns without looking back, not giving right of ways, he made sure I don’t make such mistakes in exam. Even in exam, his voice was echoing in my ears while I was driving. And after around 9-10 sessions, he arranged an exam for me and I cleared it on the first attempt. His instructions were very clear in English. And he also gave me a piece of paper explaining all German terms of directions in case examiner gives directions in German, and it happened to me in the exam. Thanks for your all help Mr. Elsner.
The school helped me a lot, all the process was great and transparent, Mr Elsner helped me a lot and thanks to him I passed my driving test and I have my driving license. He speaks German and English and all the information it's super clear
I got my foreign license exchanged. Took lessons with Mr. Elsner as that is the only option if you need lessons during the weekend. Overall, I am quite satisfied. Mr Elsner appears to be harsh person at first sight but thats not true. He in fact is a good teacher. I ended up passing my exam in first attempt.
Highly recommend this school and in particular Paul as instructor. I did an exchange of a foreign license and passed exams from the first attempt. Paul is an amazing teacher that will help to get a solid idea about safe driving in Germany. He is strict, as good teacher should be, and he will make sure that you drive according to high safety standards. Also you will get a lot of practical knowledge, that will help after exams are passed. In the end exam will be just a showcase of your skills you gained during driving lessons with Paul.
Not recommended, at least with Mr. Elsner. He yells, forgets everything you've done in the previous lesson so you end up doing more lessons than needed. His approach to teaching is terrible, you end up tense instead of relaxed and aware, supposedly his pupils "remember his yelling in their minds". Waste of money, had to stop and find a new school.
